breathtaking is a chapbook memoir in twenty-eight short poems by the award-winning Wisconsin poet, Jeri McCormick.

Jeri often concerns herself with the struggles of her ancestry on both sides of the Atlantic.  Her book, When It Came Time (Salmon Poetry, 1999) draws on her Appalachian roots.

Her latest book is Marrowbone of Memory: Ireland’s Great Famine (Salmon Poetry, Co. Clare, Ireland). This collection pushes back further in time and incorporates the travails of her emigrating in-laws and others who shared their circumstances.
